Foundation - Prerequisites: None
What to Wear: Yoga Pants or Capris, Bare Feet or Heels
This class covers 3 of the fundamentals of basic spin concepts, including spins with forward momentum and backwards momentum. Simple choreography will also be included in each class. Students must take at least 2 Foundation classes before moving onto more advanced classes. By mastering basic concepts taught in this class, and after Instructor approval, students can move on to Basic Movement and Tricks Foundation to build their practice. Foundation is $20 per person.
Basic Movement - Prerequisites: Foundation, Instructor Approval
What to Wear: Yoga Pants or Capris, Bare Feet or Heels
Basic Movement builds upon the principles taught in Foundation and teaches students a variety of new spins. Three spins will be addressed in each class as well as a variety of pole transitions and simple choreography. With over 10 weeks of material, students will gain confidence in moving seamlessly around the pole.
Advanced Movement - Prerequisite: Foundation, Basic Movement, Instructor Approval
What to Wear: Capris or Shorts, Bare Feet or Heels
Advanced Movement builds further on the spins taught in Basic Movement and focuses on combination spins, as well as transitions and moving one step up the pole. Each class will teach three new advanced movements including combo spins, back grab/blind grab spins, and vertical pole work. The vertical pole work includes movement that is based on one step off of the ground. This class will focus on fluidity around and up the pole with new choreography each class. There is over 10 weeks of material taught Advanced Movement.
Tricks Foundation - Prerequisite: Foundation, Instructor Approval
What to Wear: Shorts and Bare Feet
The goal of Tricks Foundation is to have students build strength and agility in order to properly execute pole climbs, pole sits, and basic inverts. Students will also learn and apply safe partner and self spotting techniques. This class utilizes the pole and resistance training to build upper body and core strength so students see success weekly in their physical ability.
Tricks - Prerequisite: Foundation, Tricks Foundation, Instructor Approval
What to Wear: Shorts and Bare Feet
This is a vertical and inverted class that teaches students aerial moves that typically include an isometric aerial hold as well as safe and fluid transitions in to and out of each move. This class does not incorporate choreography, but focuses on building each trick from the ground up. Only three tricks will be taught per class and different tricks will be taught each class.
Advanced Tricks - Prerequisite: Foundation, Tricks Foundation, Tricks, Instructor Approval
What to Wear: Shorts and Bare Feet
This is a vertical and inverted class that builds upon material taught in Tricks. Advanced Tricks introduces students to aerial combinations where multiple isometric holds and transitions are incorporated into a smooth and flowing aerial sequence. Additionally this class includes aerial drops. This class does not incorporate choreography, but focuses on aerial fluidity and complex moves. Only three aerial advanced tricks will be taught per class and different tricks will be taught each class.
Open Pole - This is free time for you to come and play, but please call ahead to reserve your pole. An instructor is always available to answer any questions.
